My husband had been under the care of Mr Gulihar for 19 months following an accident fracturing his humerus bone. He had corrective surgery in February 2019 . We have been most than satisfied with the care that he has received attending Mr Gulihar’s extremely busy outpatient department. Mr Gulihar has explained everything in detail when examining X-rays and reassured us of any concerns. We would not hesitate in recommending this highly experienced doctor.

I had been suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for many years and suffering from extreme pins and needles in my right hand/wrist. It was impacting on everyday activities such as driving etc. It was especially bad at night and would keep me awake. The nerve was compressed and needed surgery. Mr Gulihar carried out a carpal tunnel decompression at Chelsfield Park Hospital and I am delighted with the result. No more pins and needles/pain is wonderful! The procedure was carried out under local anaesthetic in theatre and it was very quick and pain free. Mr Gulihar was very reassuring both before and during the operation. I have a very small neat scar which looks like it will be almost invisible once healed. All in all a massive thank you to Mr Gulihar

I was kept informed of everything that was going to happen all the way through In my opinion I could not have asked for better

I met Mr Gulihar 2 years ago after having been admitted from A&E. A large lump had appeared on the side of my right shoulder. I first went to A&E and was told to go to my GP. The GP said it could be one of two things and gave me antibiotics. An orthopaedic nurse, who I knew, thought it looked like a dislocation. I then went back to A&E and was told it was an abscess and was admitted immediately with an operation scheduled for the following morning. Mr Gulihar saw me the following morning and said he wanted to know exactly what was in the lump. An ultrasound revealed it was fluid and the whole of the shoulder was badly infected. I was kept in hospital and a week later had the ball part of the shoulder removed and an antibiotic ball inserted. I was kept in hospital for a further 2 weeks on strong antibiotics. The care received from Mr Gulihar was over and above that expected from a Consultant. He even phoned me whilst he was on holiday to say I needed to have a further 6 weeks of daily intravenous antibiotics. He continued to see me regularly for blood tests. A year ago I had a reverse shoulder replacement and he continues to monitor my shoulder regularly. Mr Gulihar has always kept me informed of my treatment and why he was doing it in a very kind and informative way. I must also say his Secretary has been very kind and helpful. I would recommend Mr Gulihar 100%. He is kind, gentle , understanding and explains everything.
